Restorative Practices: A Student Engagement & Positive Discipline Method

Join MCEA in learning how to use progressive best practices to advance the academic lives of students!

The Montgomery County Education Association is pleased to offer a two-day training entitled Introduction to Restorative Practices Circles.   The training is led by MCEA members certified by the International Institute for Restorative Practices. It is broken up into four modules over the course of four days.  You must attend all four modules to be certified.

Winter 2017 Session I:

  • Wednesday, February 22                   4:45pm-8:45pm
  • Friday, February 24                            4:45pm-8:45pm


Course fee: $24- to cover the cost of two resource books that will be provided to participants; The Restorative Practices Handbook: for Teachers, Disciplinarians and Administrators and Restorative Circles in Schools:  Building Community and Enhancing Learning (both published by IIRP).  The course feel will be collected at the first class.  Checks should be made out to MCEA.
