County Council Budget Hearing

WEAR RED TO SUPPORT PUBLIC ED! MCEA President Doug Prouty and other educators will be testifying before the County Council on Thursday April 10 to urge them to fully fund the MCPS budget. The County Executive has proposed a budget that does not include funding for important new programs and improvements. Click here to see what our students stand to lose if the Council does not fully fund the budget. We will have signs available, or you can make and bring your own (according to Council rules, signs in the hearing room can be no larger than 8 ½ x 11). In addition to coming to the budget hearing on April 10, please take the time to contact your Council Member and ask them to support our students.
